INT-10:  Just Let It Go                      (Level 2)

This bright swing beat tune offers moments of instrumental colour with low brass syncopation supporting woodwind melodies, only to have the roles reversed when a new melody begins. The first theme returns with rhythmic embellishment at the key change, moving to a virtual tutti unison texture, thinning quickly to sparse instrumentation toward a brief tutti end note.  (2:53)

INT-12:  Arctic Spring                     (Level 2)

A gentle, evocative flute solo introduces the spirit of this work, supported with diminuendo band accompaniment as it progresses. First clarinet plays the theme before brass, upper woodwinds change sustained tones to modest rhythmic activity, proceeding toward the final moments of 2 flutes & bells before a full ensemble diminuendo finish. One can imagine early rays of a rare morning sun, responsible for perpetual life cycles of delicate, fragile flora and fauna in the relentless climes of northern tundra, a few moments of nature's sparkling beauty.
